Seminar: Korea’s Trade Policies under the New Government
ECIPE and Leuven Centre for Global Governance Studies invite you to a seminar with Professor Dukgeun Ahn from Seoul National University.
Within the last two decades, South Korea managed to sign trade agreements with the biggest world economies, including the European Union, the United States, India and China. However, the new Korean Government faces various difficult challenges in terms of trade policies. In order to face its major trading partners, such as the United States and China, South Korea adopted the new, and distinctively different, organizational structure.
How will this uncertain political environment impact the country’s future trade relations and business environment?
Programme
Professor Dukgeun Ahn from Seoul National University will address key issues concerning the renegotiation of the KORUS FTA and trade conflicts as well as the prospects of Korea-China trade disputes. The seminar will be chaired by Professor Patrick Messerlin, Chairman of ECIPE’s Steering Committee.
