Invitation to a Book Forum – The Creation and Destruction of Value: The Globalisation Cycle
In his new book The Creation and Destruction of Value: The Globalisation Cycle, the renowned economist and historian Harold James situates the current crisis in a long run historical perspective. His account of history is influenced by economics as well as broad political developments. James’ builds his analysis on many of his excellent books about the history of globalisation and economic crashes.
James’ links history with contemporary development. Are there parallels between the current financial crisis and the Great Depression? How will the financial crisis affect the international financial system and the geopolitical order? What are the political implications of big crises – and of the global financial crisis in the past year?
You are cordially invited to a book forum with Harold James.
