ECIPE Webinar: Boosting Efficiency and Quality in EU Public Services – The Need for a European Multi-Cloud-First Strategy

April 25 2025
Venue: ZOOM Webinar
Speakers: Thibault Kleiner, Michel Lorgeré, Matthew Allison, Antonio Freitas
Time: 15:00

Launch event of our study on cloud adoption in EU public services

How can cloud adoption help European governments deliver better services at lower cost, while safeguarding digital sovereignty and resilience – and prepare Europe’s infrastructure for the AI revolution already at our doorstep?

Join us for the launch of a new, data-rich policy study supported by Oracle, Sopra Steria and Vodafone. The study quantifies the fiscal and societal potential of a multi-cloud-first approach for EU public services.

According to our findings, a bold shift towards multi-cloud could unlock up to 450 billion euros in annual savings across EU Member States – funds that could be reinvested in essential services such as healthcare, education and infrastructure. Drawing on international best practices and EU-specific challenges, the study offers actionable recommendations for policymakers.

The webinar will address the following:

  • Key findings of the ECIPE study and their implications for national and EU digital strategies
  • The role of cloud adoption and AI in enhancing public service delivery and innovation
  • Steps needed to build a secure, competitive and resilient digital Single Market
