Where’s global trade – and global trade policy – heading?

Economic factors have pressured down the growth of trade in the world and political events now add huge uncertainties about what the framework for trade will be in the future. Brexit, if badly handled, can lead to serious trade disruptions in Europe and the new US president seems set to rewrite the basic pillars of US trade policy.
